Studio – There is no private parking lot. 95th street is a residential block, free street parking may be limited. There are plenty of street meter parking spots nearby. We ask you to kindly allow yourself some extra time before your appointment to find parking if you are driving.

Do you charge for nail fixes?

If your service was within 7 days, we do not charge for a nail fix. We kindly request that you contact us & send us a picture, if you’re not able to make it within that time frame. This excludes any nail breaks that require repair and an extension. Any damage reported after 7 days will be repaired at a minimum cost of $5.

How long does a gel manicure last?

Gel manicures typically last about 2 weeks. The durability of your gel manicure depends on the condition of your natural nail and what environment/activities your nails are exposed to. Certain conditions tend to increase the wear and tear on your gel manicure which can damage them prematurely.

What types of Gel brands do you use?

We carry CND Shellac, Wave, Apres, and BIO Seaweed (not to be confused with BIO-Sculpt).

What’s the difference between SNS and HON’s SNS with Gel?

SNS is a powder that we apply over the natural nail to give it reinforcement. Unlike other Nail Salons that use 1 layer of sheer base and 2 layers of SNS powder color, HON applies 2 layers of sheer base followed by 2 layers of Gel Color. Our application process does not require the use of an LED light. The SNS service you receive at HON won’t be as thick as most SNS full powder services anywhere else. Additionally, most salons will use the E-File drill during a full SNS powder service to bring the thickness down and give you a final smooth shape. At HON, we do not use the drill during the application of our SNS with Gel services, only during removal but never on natural nails.

When do you use the E-File Drill?

We use the drill to remove the Gel color from Apres Gel X Extensions and SNS services. Once the color is removed, exposing the clear plastic nail or SNS sheer base, we wrap each nail in aluminum foil in an acetone soaked cotton. We never use the drill to prep your natural nails.

How do you remove Apres Gel X Extensions?

We use the drill to remove the gel color from the Apres Extension. Once the clear Apres Extension is exposed, we wrap the nail in aluminum foil with an acetone soaked cotton.

How do you remove SNS w/ Gel?

We use the drill to remove the gel color from the SNS sheer base, never on natural nails. Once the SNS is exposed, we wrap the nail in aluminum foil with an acetone soaked cotton.

How do you remove HON Gel?

We slightly file away the shiny top layer and wrap the nail in aluminum foil in an acetone soaked cotton.
